The idea of 10 Gav is simple: a contestant climbs ten steps, and every step is a harder question. Behind that simplicity sits one of the most carefully prepared productions at WAAR.
Thousands of questions
Before a single episode is recorded, the editorial team writes and checks questions across history, geography, literature, science, sport and everyday life. Each question is given a level from one to ten and a category, and is marked once it has been used on air so it never returns.
Producers build a rundown for every contestant, balancing categories so that no one is lucky or unlucky with the topics.
In the studio
On recording day the control room follows every step live: the presenter sees the answers on a private screen, the contestant never does, and the graphics team updates the ladder in real time.
